Tiger Kung-Fu
This is the most power-oriented kung fu style of the five animals. Its characteristic aggression is to move straight towards the opponent in the blink of an eye. A strong stance and powerful strides contribute to strength. The hand structure commonly associated with this style is the tiger claw. Most of the people mistakenly believe that claws are only used to encircle the opponent. Instead, the palm strikes first to break the target, and then the fingers clench to hold the skin. Traditionally, it is believed that the bones of a tiger develop sustained strength. According to modern research, exercise has a very powerful effect on physical structure, but mainly it also depends on a good diet. As soon as the Shaolin Monks saw the tiger in its natural environment, he decided that it would be of immense importance as one of the animals chosen to help him in his study of kung fu. This type of characteristic is reflected in the activities of tiger stylists with strength, courage and power. Tigers are said to be ferocious, not aggressive, the difference here is that when a tiger attacks it is generally not angry, but rather focused on completing the task set before it. During an attack, speed, concentration and strength along with strong bones are used to deliver a fatal blow to the opponent. A tiger attack can be associated with a high-impact, harsh external action, such as a crushing accident. The tiger kung fu style practitioner will not only develop strength but also develop and organize concentration and bones which will ultimately strengthen and stiffen the neck hand palm spine. This type of training is important. The most prominent technique is the tiger claw where the hands mimic the shape of the claw by folding the fingers into one position. The attack is usually short and direct, involving pulling, breaking, twisting or even pressure upon contact with the opponent. The targets of this type of technique are the face, neck, waist, hands or wrists. The pressing action allows the hand to grip the fingers better upon impact, then the tiger claw may pull downwards or bend the sensitive area where locking action is generally considered. In tiger style large powerful standard fist punches (palm punch or tiger raising its head) with the legs are also used. The opponent’s limbs may also be bruised or torn, while finger nails may be used to inflict pain on pressure points around the joints. Another amazing action is the use of the palmar part of the tiger’s claw, which is ideal for the rib area. A long kick backwards. The Shaolin training method used small heavy instruments that were thrown into the air and repeatedly caught with the fingers in motion. (However, for Tiger Kung Fu style training, press-up movements using the fingers as support are very beneficial for gaining strength.

Crane Kung-Fu
Crane Style Kung Fu is an ancient martial art style. This makes it very efficient in countering a complex attack whose goal is to win by defeating your opponent by force. The advantage of this fighting strategy is that it enables a person with no muscle or weight to throw knockout punches to win with speed, accuracy and aim. The crane’s beak is typically used to attack at an angle, with the aim of getting around the attack and striking the side of the head/neck, although attacking the eyes is also a main target. The crane’s beak is a technique built primarily around deflection and force avoidance. In terms of self-defense, it is very effective in throwing the opponent off balance and enables the user to attack vulnerable areas. However, doing so requires extreme speed and accuracy. Forming the beak shape with the hand exposes the fingers to a large amount of force which could lead to them breaking in a fight. Conditioning of hands and fingers is important. Although the basic movements of defense and deflection are invaluable in a fight setting, similar success can be achieved safely by using the fists with the disadvantage of losing control of grappling. Attempts have been made to reduce this deficiency by hybridizing the style to create the tiger-crane style. Crane style demands perfect timing, balance and co-ordination, so the practitioner must train diligently to achieve the required level. Training to use the crane beak effectively means repeated one-on-one application training to make the technique second nature to the user. This repetition is typical of Crane, which is characterized by concentration and grace. The main purpose of the crane’s beak is never to attack, but to intercept and counter-attack with minimal force and in a circular motion. The crane itself has very little muscle and hollow bones that could damage it in a fight. However, the secret of the kung fu crane style appears to be to defeat by waiting to attack, but in reality the stylist wants to attack the opponent as most crane techniques depend on creating a path for a counter-attack. This combines many of the strategies used by Crane Kung Fu making it ideal for street fighting. Because some of the harder styles have “hit first, hit harder” techniques that make practitioners liable for injuries. However, waiting for an attack and using it to be effective in the beginning is purely a self-defense strategy. Crane is part of the exercises and fighting techniques of kung fu. This exercise makes your body flexible, agile, energetic and provides strength to the muscular muscles.

Snake Kung-Fu Style
Snake is such an animal which has no legs for fast running and by nature it’s cunning and gentle rather than aggressive and powerful. However, these are the reasons why the snake was included in the kung fu system. The purpose of the snake form is to further develop the internal energy power. This energy is the essence that provides the martial artist, the focus and penetrating power far superior than the ordinary external attacks. Since snakes have no arms or legs, the reptile compensates for its lack of limbs by rotating its body in a circular motion. To be an effective fighter, the snake can coil its body and lift itself straight up (like a cobra) in a striking position. From that coiled position, it straightens its body as it strikes towards its prey with devastating speed and precision. The snake derives great strength and power from its coiled striking motion and twisting action. The second benefit, even more important than the snake’s unique striking technique, is the development and release of energy (inner energy) with each strike. Because they are calm, carefree animals, snakes have a lot of energy compared to other animals. When it combines it’s internal energy with external striking techniques, Snake becomes a formidable and powerful opponent. The appearance of the snake is different from that of other animals because of its leisurely swimming movements. It provides strength that is both ,hard and soft. Most of the other animal style uses tense, aggressive power to strike opponents. There is no punch seen in the snake’s form, it delivers all the blows with its hood and poisonous teeth. Therefore, Snake Kung Fu is known for soft and hard attacks on its target. A different type of flexibility, stamina and alertness is seen more in the physical structure of the students who like this style.
